2018 Brennan Awards

The Association of the Federal Bar of New Jersey (AFBNJ) presented The Honorable Michael A. Chagares, U.S. Circuit Judge of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, its annual William J. Brennan, Jr. Award, one of the most prestigious professional legal honors bestowed in the State of New Jersey.

This award is named in honor and memory of William Joseph Brennan, Jr., one of New Jersey’s most esteemed jurists, and one of just four U.S. Supreme Court justices named to the Court from the Garden State.

During installation ceremonies held on June 14, 2018, William T. Reilly, Esq. was installed as president, along with a 2018 slate of officers, and new trustees.

Recipients of the Barry Scholarship also were named and are listed here.

Since its inception in 1977, the Brennan Award evening remains one of the highlight legal events for attorneys in the Garden State.
