Seton Hall students, by March 27, 2023, complete your two-part application:

  1. Fill out the John J. Barry Memorial Scholarship Application (see below).
  2. Submit your resume and Financial Aid Information Form (Financial Aid Information Form) to your Financial Aid Office.

In 500 words or less, please share why you believe you will be an excellent candidate for the Barry Scholarship. The AFBNJ considers: academic and professional experience, personal integrity, strength of character, leadership qualities, community service and charitable endeavors, your interest in federal practice, and/or your interest in practicing in New Jersey.
I authorize the release of my scholarship application materials, which may contain my financial information, transcript, resume, and/or admissions information, for consideration of the John J. Barry Memorial Scholarship. This information will be kept confidential and may be shared with the AFBNJ Scholarship Committee. This authorization may be rescinded at any time.(Required)
I confirm that I will attend the Reception on Tuesday, June 13, 2023 if I am a scholarship recipient.(Required)
The scholarship recipients will be announced at the William J. Brennan, Jr. Award Reception, which will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2022, at The Grove in Cedar Grove, NJ. Each scholarship recipient attends the Reception as a guest of the Association.
I understand that my application will not be complete until I submit to my Financial Aid Officer (a) my Barry Scholarship Financial Aid Form and (b) my resume. The form is available at www.afbnj.org/barryscholarship
