Register by November 27th for this Brown Bag Lunch Series, which is free of charge and includes lunch.
Since 2013, the AFBNJ and U.S. District Court have collaborated to produce the District of New Jersey’s Brown Bag Seminar Luncheons (“Brown Bag Lunches”) in order to support the New Jersey federal courts and provide valuable continuing legal education and training to the practitioners who litigate in them.
These lively events for litigation veterans and newer attorneys alike are designed to provide substantive knowledge, guidance and dialogue relating to civil and criminal court action in our three vicinages.
Modeled on the “lunch and learn” format, these panel presentations are held in the Newark, Trenton and Camden courthouses at no charge for a limited number of attendees. Additionally, Continuing Legal Education credit is available to attorneys licensed in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware.
Brown Bag Lunch panels have included New Jersey U.S. District and U.S. Magistrate Judges, along with experienced AFBNJ-member attorneys. The lunch programs encourage discussion while they tackle subjects of interest to the New Jersey federal bar as a whole.
The District’s first Brown Bag Lunch was held in Trenton in March 2012. Since then, the AFBNJ and the U.S. District Court has co-sponsored approximately three Brown Bag Lunch programs per year, one in each of the three courthouses.
