This all-day conference will feature a series of educational programs led by New Jersey Bankruptcy Judges and practitioners. The program includes:

Morning Plenary Session: Fraud in the Bankruptcy Courts:  Tackling fraud and crime in bankruptcy is everyone’s responsibility.  Whether it is concealment of assets, attempts to wrongfully obtain unclaimed funds, screen-scraping to engage in wire fraud or CARES Act and PPP grant fraud, this panel will have all of the information you need to know.
Morning Breakout Sessions – Choose from the following topics:
  • Debtor/Creditor Consumer Panel
  • Name That Case!: Join IWIRC-NJ for some friendly competition with your colleagues as we examine the most cited opinions for each of the current bankruptcy judges from the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of New Jersey.
  • Injunctive Relief: It Takes More than a Motion Citing to Section 105
Afternoon Breakout Sessions – Choose from the following topics:
  • Chapter 13 Hot Topics
  • Bankruptcy Case Law Update
  • I Love it When a Plan Comes Together! But are You Now Headed Down the Boulevard of Broken Dreams of Post-Confirmation Pitfalls?
More than Great Debates: A wide ranging discussion with audience participation concerning ten (10) recently decided bankruptcy cases involving critical issues.

This program has been approved by the Board on Continuing Legal Education of the Supreme Court of New Jersey for 5.4 hours of total CLE credit. Of these 1.2 qualify as hours of total credit for ethics, professionalism, and professional responsibility.

4.5 CLE credits have been approved toward PA including 1.0 ethics credit.

In order to receive proper credit for all CLE programs, each attendee is required to complete and submit a CLE Affirmation and Evaluation Form after the program, prior to leaving the venue.
